WhoApp Community Guidelines

Random matching only works if everyone in the room plays by the same few rules. Here they are — learn them once and every chat gets better.

1Why rules exist at all

You cannot preview who the next match will be, so the site itself has to guarantee a baseline: no one gets harassed, no one gets filmed, and no minor ever gets in. Every report is read by a human moderator, and people who break the serious rules — or keep breaking the small ones — lose access.

We keep the list compact because unread rulebooks protect nobody. It applies equally to video, voice and text, for as long as the match lasts. The terms of service state this in legal language; this page states it in human language.

2Do more of this

  • Greet the person who appears — a friendly opener sets the tone
  • Laugh with people, never at them
  • Move on freely when the chemistry is missing; nobody owes anybody extra time
  • Flag behavior that breaks the rules, even when you were not the one targeted
  • Protect your private details — surname, address, employer, finances

3Never do this

  • Harassment, threats, slurs, or attacking anyone over who they are
  • Anything that involves minors — under any circumstances, in any form
  • Sexually explicit conduct on camera, or nudging a match toward it
  • Filming, photographing or screenshotting anyone, or spreading such material
  • Fraud, spam, advertising, or pitching products inside a room
  • Criminal activity of any kind — including merely planning it on a call

4Filming others: gone for good

This rule gets its own spotlight because breaking it is the quickest route to a lifetime ban. Do not record the person you are matched with — not with a screen recorder, not with another phone aimed at the monitor, not by restreaming. Do not share or publish their image either, altered or not. What two people do in a room belongs to that room, and violations count as severe offenses.

518+, without exception

Only adults may use WhoApp — there is no grey zone. An account suspected on reasonable grounds of involving a minor — yours or the other side’s — is removed on the spot, and we involve the authorities wherever the law says we must. Matched with someone who looks underage? Hang up and report immediately.

6Filing a report

A report control is visible throughout every call. Press it, choose the reason, and human moderators receive the flag together with the context they need — no evidence-gathering is expected from you. Your identity as the reporter stays private, and an honest report never harms your standing. Urgent follow-ups after a call go to [email protected] through the contact page.

7How violations are punished

Punishment fits the offense: a caution for a small first-time slip, a suspension when the behavior repeats, a permanent ban for the grave cases — minors, captured imagery, threats, crimes. Bans attach to the person behind the account, not merely the login. Believe a moderation call about you was mistaken? Ask support for an appeal and a moderator who was not involved takes a fresh look.

That is the whole book. Now start a match and enjoy it.
